Growing up in New Hampshire, I was constantly intrigued by the colors and textures all around me…leaves, rocks, shells, clouds, mountains, water. Even as a young child I was incorporating these natural elements into the art that I was creating.
I have continued my study of various disciplines in art throughout my life, and I am excited to experiment with color and texture; working in many diverse mediums. Although my artistic endeavors have been put on hold from time to time, due to the responsibilities of marriage and raising two sons, I have never stopped doing my art.
I have displayed my work at several venues throughout New Hampshire and New Mexico. These have included solo shows at various galleries and juried venues as well as many private commissioned pieces.
While living in New Mexico for over five years, I served on the board of the Rio Rancho Art Association and for two years was a juried member of the prestigious Corrales Society of Artists.
My recent relocation to Arizona has inspired me more than ever to create new pieces of art that are filled with the colors and textures that surround me here, in the magnificent Sonoran Desert. Since my move here, I have taught a number of art classes in the Marana Unified School District's 21st Century Art Program. I look forward to expanding my capabilities here, as I continue to learn and grow every day!
